Meet the Auctioneers



Virginia " Genie" Eaker


Genie was born and raised in Columbia, SC and graduated from Columbia College and studied professional acting with Gene Lesser, the Head of the Theater Department at the Julliard School. Genie was offered a full scholarship to the prestigious Julliard School of Performing Arts in New York City, but decided to start her own theater company. The Patchwork Players produced adaptations of classic tales and Victorian mysteries for family audiences at The Patchwork Playhouse, where they taught theater classes and performances for children also offered a dinner theater for adult audiences. The Players performed throughout the Southeast and in Europe, and at Wolftrap Farm Park . They also produced a number of Public Television productions.


During her thirty years of producing, teaching and performing theater, Genie developed a love of antiques and collectibles. She received her auctioneer's license in SC where she and Edward Ejk began an antique auction at the Playhouse with much success. Genie now lives in Tucson where she enjoys antiques and is happy to be returning to auctioneering with Arizona Antique Auctions.  

Edward W. Ejk


Growing up on the "Jersey Shore" and New York City as well as living in San Francisco, Istanbul, and the west coast of Florida, Edward served in the U.S. Army and  afterward traveled through much of Europe.  Edward played two professional sports - Basketball in Turkey and Soccer in the U.S.  and was an investment banker.


Edward enjoyed a long career in Entertainment, including owning five dance studios in New Jersey and New York City while doing night clubs in that area and a Broadway

show.  A professional dancer and choreographer, Edward worked with many well known entertainment producers and Rock and Roll groups, which provided him a very interesting life experience.  


Edward blended his many interests to include learning the antique auction business while working at a Jersey auction for three years.  He later owned "Victorian Ivy", his own antique shop in Florida.   Edward also produced and hosted the award winning TV show "Tampa Bay Now". With his background as a gemologist  Edward has taught gemology classes for St. Petersburg College and the University of Arizona.
